The King of Spain, Felipe VI, has presented the 3rd Enrique V Iglesias Award for Ibero-American Business Development to the Peruvian entrepreneur José Graña, president of Graña y Montero Group, leading engineering and infrastructure company in Peru.
The ceremony took place at the 11st Business Meeting previous to the 25th Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which also had the participation of Luis of Guindos, Spanish Minister for Economy; Valentín Díez Morodo, awarded in the 2014 edition; Enrique V. Iglesias, Iberian CEAL honorary president and chairman of the prize jury, and Núria Vilanova, founder and president of ATREVIA and also the Iberian CEAL.
This prestigious award is organised with the support of the Iberian division of the Latin American Business Council (Iberian CEAL), and the collaboration of personalities from the Iberian corporate, economic and business world. At the ceremony, Enrique V. Iglesias and Núria Vilanova highlighted the entrepreneur and innovative spirit of José Graña, as well as his social commitment based on his employees’ professional development and environmental sustainability.
José Graña has led the most important growth strategies in his company, like the diversification of its activities and businesses with stable revenues in Peru and abroad. Besides, Graña established a work style based on quality, fulfilment, integrity and efficiency values and on a sustainability strategy, which intends to manage responsibly businesses and share welfare with the society.
The Enrique V. Iglesias Award was created in 2014 encouraged by Núria Vilanova and with Iberian CEAL support.
The Iberian CEAL is a non-profit organisation established by entrepreneurs, with over 80 partners, presidents and in several cases also owners of major Ibero-American companies. Its main goal is to support Ibero-American business projects and development through business growth and commitment, by means of the exchange of experiences and the integration between the entrepreneurship.
