Alex Rodríguez, Digital Director of ATREVIA, has participated in a new Digital Talent series of IPMARK and Zoomin TV, to talk about the growing complexity of managing communication crises in a hyperconnected world.
“The rules of the game have changed, there are new channels and actors involved in crisis management, all your stakeholders are in permanent connection in an inter-channel system, which requires companies to be more honest,” he says.
He has also highlighted the importance of having a clear brand voice. In the post-truth era, companies can not afford to maintain a low communication profile. “If you do not do it, others will tell what you do and how you do it, the one who has a voice and the one who shows a transparent, proactive and truthful attitude will always win.”
In addition to focusing efforts on preventing any crisis, it is essential to have “digital firewalls” that allow us to act in real time once they occur. Training the teams and making simple and manageable tools available to them is once again one of the keys to avoid losing control and to be able to stop any alarm signal.
At ATREVIA, we have worked on the creation of a Crisis Management 4.0 service aimed at companies concerned with finding solutions that prevent and respond to risks arising from the new digital reality.
