Yesterday the first conference of the new edition of #TopDisruptive took place, an event organized by Deusto Business School and ATREVIA with the objective to become familiar with successful and ground-breaking experiences from the most innovative businesses and organizations around the world.
This edition counts upon de participation of Nuria Vilanova, president and founder of ATREVIA, and Iñaki Ortega, director of Deusto Business School, whom both introduced the guest speaker: Santiago Solanas, VP South Europe at Cisco.
Nuria Vilanova has made sure that these meetings respond to the need of companies to transform or when taking important decisions related to change. “It is great opportunity that a business school has opened their doors to listen and ask us questions. Our idea is to convert Top Disruptive into a reference. To do this, we have established a talented advisory board who decides upon themes for discussions that correspond to the necessities of the companies and find guest speakers whom will help us find answers through different points of view.”
Santiago Solanas started his discussion by mentioning that “even though disruption is currently very present in our day to day life, it is not something new. Disruptive ideas have been changing our markets constantly but with the arrival of digitalization, it has become more evident to everyone.” Companies now have to make sure they can adapt at the same speed at which the markets are changing, “4 out of every 10 leaders in the market are taken over by new players. However, only one third of the companies are doing something about it.”
To do this, it is essential to have a diverse team who are aligned with the objectives of the organization. Solanas ended by stating that “Talent and diverse ideas, as well as the strategy, are key points which lead towards the success of a company or an organization.”
